New efficiency of logic design.

The CADS Planner Electric software is an efficient and adjustable tool for PLC designing. Database-aided design minimizes errors, offering excellent possibilities for data exchange between HW and SW designers.

Define the logic composition.

With CADS Planner Electric, you can define the logic composition easily:

• the logic interface, which resembles that of the logic programming tools, "drag&drop"
• the software includes the ready-made IO modules (mainframes, devices) of various logic manufacturers
• the possibility to create your own IO cards and devices as well.

Define the connections.

With Electric, you can define the connections of the entire signal path, from the logic to the field device:

• defining a cross-connection strip for the signal path
• terminal boxes and field devices
• defining the connections of the channels, either for each channel individually or for several channels at the same time (=> generating connections automatically).

Using the bidirectional Excel interface.

You can use the bidirectional Excel interface when defining the field device:

• linking the field device IDs and comments created with the logic programming tools to the CADS logic database
• automatic updating of changes: Excel <=> CADS database
• possibility to define a graphical symbol, which will be placed when generating a schema, for the field device.

Smart wiring definitions.

The cablings between the terminal boxes and their wirings all the way to the field device can be defined in the database:

• defining the wirings by connecting individual wires or the entire cable at a time (=> defining a wire for the channel automatically from the free wires of the cable)
• defining and editing the wirings is easy with a "drag&drop" functionality.

Generate schemas from the database.

Based on the defined IO, you can generate the logic schemas to add to a CADSdrawing:

• generation into a separate file or as a part of the circuit schema
• possibility to define a graphical presentation for each card or channel
• a set of template drawings to use in schema generation are included
• adding your own and the customers’ logic schema model into the system easily
• not confined to a specific presentation model
• generation from the cards of the entire rack at a time or each channel separately.
