Versatile and compatible quantity calculating.

The CADS Planner Electric includes versatile properties for electrical quantity calculating. Kymdata Oy, the developer of this software, has been a forerunner in developing electrical quantity calculating by, for example, actively participating in the development activities of the organisations in the field. The software produces electric device lists which comply with the general recommendations (STUL, NSS, RAKLI) and includes tools for metrical calculating (wirings, trays, etc.).

Quantity calculating properties at all product levels.

You can perform electrical quantity calculating at all Electric product levels (Lite, Standard, Pro) as the basic quantity calculating properties can also be found in the lightest Lite version.

Electric device lists according to recommendations.

The CADS Planner Electric (Lite, Standard, Pro) will produce a quantity list of the electric devices based on the STUL/NSS/RAKLI information technology group’s recommendation, which includes:

• the amounts of electric and telecommunication devices
• the information related to the devices, such as the graphical symbol (as a graphical presentation), system ID, title, IP class, electrical values, number of pieces, unit, installation method
• the possibility to list devices by spaces
• the quantity information on wiring routes.

Calculating can be performed using different kinds of CAD drawings.

With CADS Planner Electric, you can perform the calculating using the drawings created with other CAD software.

Quantity lists on wirings and trays.

In addition to calculating the electric devices:

• with the Electric Standard and Pro software, you can define the wirings and trays in the drawing and produce quantity lists based on this
• metrical calculating will take the elevations of the wirings, trays and electric devices into consideration
• metrical calculating is also possible with the Electric Lite software, assuming that the definitions in the drawing have been made with the Standard or Pro software.

Project-specific quantity lists with the help of product databases.

By using the CADS Planner Electric Pro software, you can:

• attach the actual product data of the device manufacturers to the components, and thus produce project-specific lists on the plans
• use the complete product databases of several different product manufacturers, which are included in the Electric Pro DB database system
• use the Sähkönumerot.fi product database maintained by the SSTL, which includes over 210,000 products.

Quantity calculating using an IFC model as well.

By utilising the IFC import functionality of CADS Planner, you can read IFC models of data model based designing into the software and also perform quantity calculating on them.

Direct connection to offer calculation software.

The electric device and metrical lists produced with the CADS Planner Electric can be transferred to the general software used for offer calculation, for which Electric includes complete transfer definitions. Thus quantity calculating information is easily usable as the basis for offer calculation.

Precision tool for quantity calculating: CADS Planner QM.

If you do not need the electrical design/documentation properties, but you are only performing quantity calculating, the CADS Planner QM is the solution for you. A free basic version of the software is available and also a more advanced QM Pro version, which is subject to a fee.
