CADS Planner Rasta
For using and processing images in raster format.
Rasta enables the usage and processing of images in raster format within the CADS Planner software. So-called hybrid drawings can be produced with the help of the software where a scanned image and a vector drawing produced with CAD software are combined. Rasta includes versatile tools for preparing and processing a raster image.
Enables the usage of paper images.
Using old paper images, especially in redevelopment projects, makes the designing work faster and easier. Rasta allows uploading of a scanned file, for example, an architectural floor plan of a building into the CADS Planner and its further processing.
Supports over 20 raster formats.
Rasta includes versatile file supports for various raster images. It supports over 20 raster formats, for example, TIFF, BMP, CALS and JPEG. In addition, Rasta supports various compression formats. For example, an image which was scanned at a scanning service can be saved into a tightly compressed file size with TIFF formats, for example, Pack Bits, Modified Huffmann, Group III and IV and JPEG Tiff.
Versatile image processing functions.
Rasta is more than just an uploading program for raster images. It includes various functions for processing a raster image. You can align, rotate and scale a raster image if you want to define a scanned image with the actual dimensions before CAD designing. In addition, an image can be moved and straightened. Straightening is used, for example, when an image was distorted during scanning. This function also enables tilting a raster image into an axonometric model. Also, unnecessary parts can be removed from a raster image: the desired area is outlined with dots and erased. The mirroring function allows, for example, mirroring an image which was scanned from the reverse surface of tracing paper into the correct position.
